One of the cornerstones of our operations is our logistics centre in Hämeenlinna, Finland, where approximately half of our employees work. In summer 2026, we installed solar panels on the roof of our logistics centre. Our logistics center covers an area of 44,000 m² and has a capacity of 55,000 pallet spaces. Electric forklifts are constantly on the move, handling order picking and other internal logistics operations. Now, we can charge them using solar power!

Solar panels in use:

  • Estimated annual energy production: approximately 300,000 kWh
  • Total installed capacity: 341 kWp
  • Number of solar panels: 794
  • Total panel area: equivalent to the size of an NHL ice hockey rink. Each panel measures 1.13 metres wide and 1.76 metres long.
  • Innovative installation method: Instead of using concrete ballast weights, Tammer Brands opted for a mounting system in which the supports are secured to the roof using a heat-welding method.
  • Estimated lifespan: approximately 30 years.
